Patrick Boettger, a committed veteran of the U.S. Navy and esteemed firearms instructor, has unfortunately died. Born in 1987, Patrick honorably served his nation and spent some of his active duty in Bahrain. His passing signifies the loss of an individual highly respected for his dedication, power, and devotion to service.
While in Bahrain, Patrick incurred a severe ankle injury while running in the desert, leaping off a two-foot ledge. Because of insufficient medical assistance on base, he suffered from the injury for more than three months before coming back to Illinois for a short two-week leave. Committed to recovery and ready to resume his responsibilities, he started rehabilitation at ATI Physical Therapy in Matteson, Illinois.
Aside from his military background, Patrick was an expert firearms instructor boasting more than 20 years of experience. He provided Illinois Concealed Carry Certification and personalized shooting lessons via his company, Top Notch Firearms Training LLC. Certified by the Illinois State Police and USCCA, Patrick was recognized for his patient teaching, commitment to safety, and dedication to responsible firearm ownership. He possessed Instructor #2816224.
Patrick’s death creates a significant emptiness in the veteran and firearms communities. He is celebrated not just for his career achievements but also for his perseverance, compassion, and steadfast commitment to his responsibilities.
