A tragic shooting in Bessemer on Monday night has claimed the life of a 42-year-old man, now identified as Courtenay Pierre Dufermeau.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 10:22 p.m. in the 300 block of Gloria Drive, where Dufermeau was reportedly assaulted and sustained fatal gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Bessemer Police Department is investigating the case as a homicide. As the investigation remains active, officials are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to come forward and contact the department.
