Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Compton as 38-year-old Erick Perez Pineda, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The collision occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and East Rose Street, near East Rancho Dominguez Park, as reported by California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig.
When CHP officers arrived at the scene, they determined that a motorcycle and another vehicle had collided. Erick Perez Pineda was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by authorities.
