A woman was killed Monday night, July 21, 2025, following a vehicle-pedestrian collision in the 2300 block of Ogden Avenue, according to the Downers Grove Police Department.
The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m., when the woman was crossing the street and was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Ogden Avenue. Emergency responders transported her to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
The Downers Grove Police Department, along with the DuPage M.E.R.I.T. Major Crash Reconstruction Team, is actively investigating the circumstances of the crash. At this time, the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of her family.
