The Danville Police Department has issued an update in connection with the Sunday morning homicide, identifying Jaiquawn Amos Powell, 28, as the primary suspect. Powell is currently wanted and has been formally charged with second-degree murder. Authorities note that Powell’s appearance may differ from previously released photos, particularly regarding his hairstyle.
In connection with the case, Darius Damon Dallis Walters, 33, has been arrested and charged with accessory after the fact. His involvement in assisting the suspect post-crime is currently under investigation.
