Authorities have identified Carl Gray, 74, of Fort Plain, as the victim in a fatal utility terrain vehicle (UTV) accident that occurred last Thursday in Fulton County.
The crash happened on Tilboro Road in the town of Ephratah, where, according to New York State Police, the UTV Gray was operating left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Emergency responders transported him to Nathan Littauer Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
Loved ones and community members are mourning the loss of Carl Gray, described as a respected resident of Fort Plain. Authorities have not yet determined what caused the vehicle to leave the road.
