A night of partying turned deadly early Saturday morning when a shooting broke out at an after-hours club in north Tulsa, leaving one person dead and another injured.

Tulsa Police Department officers responded to a call around 2:30 a.m. on July 27, 2025, at an unlicensed after-hours club located at 2700 N. Yale Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

Investigators say the violence began with a fight involving several people inside the club. At some point during the altercation, a suspect retrieved a firearm from a vehicle and opened fire on the crowd.

Jashari Jackson, 23, was fatally shot and pronounced dead at the scene. A 26-year-old male was also struck by gunfire and transported to a local hospital for treatment. His condition has not been publicly disclosed.

Following witness interviews and a swift investigation, detectives identified Jaida McGrew as the suspected shooter. McGrew was located at the Meadows Apartments in East Tulsa, where she was arrested without incident.

McGrew has been booked into the Tulsa County Jail on charges of First-Degree Murder.

The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to gather evidence and speak with additional witnesses. Authorities urge anyone with further information to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers.

This marks yet another tragic instance of gun violence disrupting the community, as friends and family of Jashari Jackson mourn the loss of a young life taken far too soon.
