The Carolina Academy community and the town of Lake City, South Carolina are mourning the tragic and untimely loss of Aden Jumper, a beloved student and talented athlete who passed away in a fatal accident on July 30, 2025.

Aden, a rising senior in the Class of 2026, was just beginning the final chapter of his high school journey when his life was suddenly cut short. At only 17 years old, he had already made a lasting impact on his school, his teammates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Aden was a proud Bobcat at Carolina Academy, where he played for the Boys’ Varsity Football team as a wide receiver and outside linebacker. Known for his athleticism, dedication, and passion for the game, he wore his jersey with pride and always gave his all on the field.

His teammates remember him not only for his skills, but for his leadership, infectious smile, and encouraging spirit. Coaches, teachers, and friends alike describe Aden as someone who was full of life — outgoing, kindhearted, and deeply loyal to those around him.

The news of Aden’s passing has left the entire community in shock. His aunt, Wanda, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, saying, “Please say a prayer for our family. My nephew was in a fatal accident this a.m. 2025 has not been a good year for our family. Fly high Aden Jumper. Aunt Wanda loves you.” Her message reflects the depth of the family’s grief and the tremendous loss they are facing.

Carolina Academy released a statement honoring Aden’s life and memory: “It is with much sadness to share this, but there was an accident earlier today that claimed the life of one of our students, Aden Jumper.
