The Union County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of human remains discovered near Strong on July 28 as Mearanda Fairris, a 36-year-old resident of the area.

The Arkansas State Crime Laboratory assisted in the identification process, working closely with local authorities after the remains were located. While the identity has now been confirmed, the cause of death remains unknown.
