The Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is investigating the city’s third confirmed homicide of 2025, following the discovery of a deceased male earlier this week. The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Wayne Keller
On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of 5th Avenue East after receiving a report of a deceased individual. Upon arrival, members of the Prince Albert Police Service and Parkland Ambulance located the body of a male at the scene.
The Forensic Identification Section (FIS) and Saskatchewan Coroners Service were called in to assist in the investigation. An autopsy was conducted on Wednesday, July 30, confirming the death as a homicide.
The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Wayne Keller. His next of kin has been notified, and a photo of Mr. Keller has been released by police in an effort to further the investigation.
At this time, no arrests have been made, and investigators are actively working to gather information about the events leading up to Mr. Keller’s death.
