Whittney Jeanne Pfefferkorn, 21, of Hamilton, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 26, 2025, as the result of a tragic ATV accident while visiting Colorado. Born on January 25, 2004, in Auburn, Indiana, Whittney was the cherished daughter of Nathan J. and Alecia J. (Tyler) Pfefferkorn.

A 2022 graduate of Eastside High School, Whittney was preparing to begin her senior year at the University of St. Francis, where she was studying to become a nurse—an ambition that perfectly suited her compassionate heart and deep desire to care for others.

During her time in high school, Whittney was a standout student both in the classroom and in extracurriculars. She participated in track, volleyball, and basketball, demonstrating both her athletic talent and her unwavering team spirit.

She was also a dedicated 10-year member of the DeKalb County 4-H program, where she developed leadership skills, discipline, and a love for her rural community.

Whittney’s heart overflowed with love—for her family, friends, faith, and future. She was deeply devoted to her family, sharing an unbreakable bond with her parents and siblings.

Her friendships were marked by laughter, loyalty, and encouragement. Whittney had a rare gift of uplifting others simply by being herself. Her contagious smile, warm laughter, and radiant positivity left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew her.

Whittney’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was “on fire for the Lord,” and her spiritual passion was evident in the way she lived, served, and loved. Her relationship with Christ shaped her actions and inspired many in her community and beyond.

Whittney regularly attended Life Changing Church in Angola, Indiana, where she found fellowship, spiritual growth, and a deeper connection with God. Professionally, Whittney was already making a meaningful impact in healthcare.

She worked as a Patient Care Technician in the Labor and Delivery Department at Cameron Health in Angola, where she was beloved by both patients and colleagues.

Recently, she had achieved a new milestone by becoming a Student Nursing Apprentice, a role she took immense pride in. In addition to her healthcare work, Whittney also served her community at the Green Bean Coffee & Sweet Shop in Hamilton, where her kindness and energy brightened the days of customers and coworkers alike.

She is survived by her loving parents, Nathan and Alecia Pfefferkorn of Hamilton; her siblings, Gavin (Kelsey) Pfefferkorn of Garrett and Aleigha Pfefferkorn of Hamilton; her great-grandmother, Donna Harger; grandparents Paul and Dalene Pfefferkorn, and Pat and Suzie Tyler, all of Hamilton; her boyfriend, Dylan Bredemeyer of Pleasant Lake, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored her.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Pleasant Lake Community Church, 5142 S. Old US Hwy 27, Pleasant Lake, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life service will follow on Friday, August 8, at 11:00 AM, at the same location with Pastor Ryan Kain officiating. Attendees are encouraged to wear vibrant colors in honor of Whittney’s joyful spirit and the bright, faith-filled life she lived.
