With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kharis McGee, who departed this life peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. She was 22 years old.
Born on September 23, 2002, in Monroe, North Carolina, Kharis was a radiant soul whose presence brought light, love, and warmth to everyone she encountered. Her name, meaning “grace,” perfectly reflected the way she lived — with strength, compassion, and an unwavering spirit that inspired all who knew her.
Kharis faced life with courage and kindness beyond her years. Whether it was through her quiet strength, her gentle smile, or the love she poured into her family and friends, she left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of many.
