Authorities in Warren County have confirmed the deaths of Gabrielle Summer Tatum, 28, and Steven Junior Craft, 41, in a devastating incident at Eagle Lake that has been classified as a murder-suicide.

According to Sheriff Martin Pace, the tragedy stems from a history of domestic issues between Craft and Tatum. Law enforcement records show multiple previous disputes involving the two, with Tatum being the subject of past threats and domestic conflict.

On the night of the incident, Craft reportedly placed a distressing phone call to a family member, expressing his intent to harm Gabrielle and then take his own life. The family member immediately alerted authorities, prompting a rapid response from Warren County deputies.

Upon arriving at the residence, deputies found the door locked and were forced to break in. Inside, they discovered both individuals deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was found near Craft’s body.

Sheriff Pace confirmed that the early findings point to a murder-suicide, though the investigation remains active and ongoing.

This tragedy highlights the critical importance of addressing domestic violence and seeking help before conflicts escalate. Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of Gabrielle Summer Tatum and Steven Junior Craft during this deeply painful time.
